POTTERY CLASSES • WINTER 2025

The journey from idea to finished piece requires foundational knowledge, but the path you take is your own. In our multi-week sessions, you will receive expert instruction and demos on key pottery-making techniques, with time for self-directed practice. Find your inner potter in a communal space, supporting one another’s ideas and learning from each other.

  • Ceramics: Wheel & Hand • ALL LEVELS

    Unplug from the digital world and connect with the meditative process of working with clay in this beginner-friendly & up class. For those with or without experience, this class is designed to help you tap into your own creative rhythm and build a sustainable pottery practice at any stage. You'll learn core techniques from an expert instructor, but the primary focus is on nurturing your personal artistic expression. Through mindful practice and hands-on experimentation, you will build the skills and independence needed to create a body of work that is all your own. A combination of wheel & hand-building demos included, though students are welcome to focus more on one or the other in their personal practice.

    Approx. half instruction/demo time and half independent practice per class

  • Ceramics: Wheel & Hand • INTERMEDIATE+

    Go beyond the basics in this intermediate & up level class, where guided instruction supports a self-directed studio experience. Designed for potters with solid foundational skills, this class blends focused mentorship with independent work time so you can experiment, explore personal style, and bring creative ideas to life. Whether on the wheel or hand-building, most of the session is dedicated to individual practice and exploration.

    With instructor support, you’ll refine technique, build confidence, and develop the problem-solving skills needed to take on more complex work—shifting from simply practicing technique to truly owning your creative voice and artistic direction.

• One 25-lb bag of stoneware cone 6 clay per registration (clay body/color may vary per session based on availability).
