POTTERY WORKSHOPS

Workshops are one or multi-day classes designed for those looking to try pottery or enjoy a creative clay experience without the commitment of a multi-week course. Details on whether experience is required will be noted in the individual workshop descriptions. Come join us for a fun “claytime” experience!

LIDDED JAR: 2-Day Wheel Workshop

Lidded Vessel Workshop (2-Part Series)
For those comfortable with the wheel basics—centering, pulling, shaping, and trimming—this two-day workshop offers the opportunity to dive deeper into a more intermediate project: creating a lidded vessel.

On Day 1, instructor Mark Roberson will guide students through his unique process of throwing a closed form with an integrated knob. On Day 2, students will learn how to cut the form into two parts—lid and base—and trim each section to create a finished lidded jar.

This hands-on workshop includes step-by-step instruction, all materials, and kiln firings. Finished pieces will be glazed and fired by the studio after the workshop and available for pickup in approximately 3–4 weeks.

Ages: High school & up
