At Claybird Studio, pottery is about more than learning techniques. Our classes are designed to help you slow down, explore your creativity, and build confidence and connections through clay. Whether you're brand new to pottery or continuing your artistic journey, you'll find expert instruction, supportive community, and plenty of room to grow at your own pace.

All Pottery Classes Include

8 weekly classes (2 hours each)

Unlimited Open Studio access during Open Studio hours, including independent entry

Dedicated instruction & demonstrations

One 25-lb bag of studio stoneware clay

Personal shelf space

Studio glazes and kiln firings

What You’ll Learn

Our ceramics classes cover a variety of skills, including wheel throwing, hand-building, trimming, glazing, decoration, self-expression and owning your studio practice. Whether you're learning the fundamentals or building on existing experience, there’s a class for everyone, and EVERYONE is welcome.

PERFECT FOR: Beginners and returning students
Build confidence, develop new skills, and discover the joy of working with clay in a welcoming and supportive environment at any stage of your clay journey. You’ll never be bored here! Whether at the wheel or the worktable, this hands-on class encourages creativity, curiosity, and playful exploration.

AGE: HS through Adult
PERFECT FOR: Experienced potters with solid foundational skills
Engage in a more self-directed studio experience with guidance and support, direction and demonstrations. Explore new ideas, refine your skills, tackle more complex projects, and continue developing your unique creative voice.

PERFECT FOR: Beginners and returning students
Gain a deeper understanding of clay and have a whole new appreciation for hand-building. Learning to hand-build is one of the most foundational and expressive forms of working with clay - giving you the skills to create just about anything you can imagine!

Saturday Mornings July 11-Aug 29
