  • Ceramics: Sculpting & Hand-Building • ALL LEVELS

Learning to sculpt and hand-build are the most foundational and expressive forms of working with clay - giving you the skills to create just about anything you can imagine.

Step away from the pottery wheel and discover clay in a whole new way at the table, exploring techniques like coiling, pinching, slab-building, and sculpting. These methods date back to the earliest forms of pottery-making and remain essential for creating both functional pieces and one-of-a-kind works of art.

In this class, your instructor will guide you in using your hands and various tools to develop your own creative rhythm and bring your ideas to life. Whether you’re making usable pottery or decorative sculptural pieces, you’ll gain a deeper understanding of clay and a whole new appreciation for hand-building.

Class consists of instruction, demonstrations and independent practice time.
