FAQ’s

  • The host parent(s) can attend their child's party plus 1-2 additional adults. However, we cannot accommodate the parents of all the participants or extra guests as the space can only the party guests who are making pottery. Parents of guests will need to drop off and pickup their children at the beginning and end of the party or lesson.

  • All guests must participate in the same activity, whether it is hand-buidling or wheel. All attendees who are paid for will be able to make a clay project.

  • All participants are allowed to make or take home 1 pottery piece each for pottery-making events, unless another agreement was made ahead of time. Extra pieces made aside from the agreement will not be fired, or if a guest wants to keep any extra pieces made, they will incur an additional charge.

  • All projects must be left at the studio to be finished and fired before guests can take their creations home. For pottery-making, we use stoneware clay that needs to dry and be fired twice in a kiln, including being glazed and fired, before it can be picked up. Painted pottery needs to be coated in a clear glaze and glaze fired before pickup. Finished pottery is typically ready for pickup 4-6 weeks after a group event.

  • All pottery made or painted in our group events is food safe, as well as microwave and diswasher safe. Although most people choose to hand wash their pieces for prolonged life.

  • Group parties who are making projects from clay will be able to choose one glaze color per person for their pieces. We have a variety of beautiful dipping glazes to choose from! Pottery-painting events will be able to paint their own unique designs on their pottery using a variety of glaze colors.

  • For pottery making parties, we can only accommodate extra guests if requested no less than 48 hours ahead of the party date, and if space allows, as we have to prepare the clay and materials ahead of time. We also only have a certain number of table and wheel spaces. We would appreciate your final headcount no later than 48 hours before your party date. You can always check in with the studio if you’d like to add a guest last minute and we can see if accommodations can be made. Pottery-Painting parties can accomodate additional guests last minute as long as there is space.

  • We cannot issue refunds for no-shows. A deposit of $50 is required to hold the date which is non-refundable, and the # of guests attending and payment in full for all guests is due 48 hours before pottery-making events. Because the materials we prepare in advance are costly and we hire an instruction and possibly an assistant ahead of time based on the number of guests, we cannot issue refunds for any reason. However, your $50 deposit can be applied to a future date if a reschedule is requested after 48 hours prior to the event.

  • Your deposit of $50 to hold your date is required 1-2 weeks ahead of time, and is not refundable for canceled parties. However, if you need to move your party to a future date, we can do so at no additional cost pending studio and instructor availability.

  • We have unpainted pottery in stock for you to choose from when you come in with your group. However, if you have a special request to paint something specific, we can try to accommodate you by placing a special order. However special orders must be paid for in advance and will require a minimum amount. Please contact the studio for more info about special orders.

  • Yes, you may bring in food or drinks to enjoy at your pottery-making or pottery-painting event. However, we do not provide paper goods or utensils, and we cannot discard bulky trash (large food serving trays, pizza boxes, etc). Bulky trash must be carried out with you. We have suggestions of local restaurants that can accommodate group food orders upon request.
